Must be able to manage patients across all Emergency Severity Index (ESI) levels, with a ratio of 4-5:1 average ESI 3 patients. Responsibilities include managing stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients, triaging, and assisting with art line, central line, and chest tube placement. Expected to float to other departments as needed.Responsibilities: Handle all patients from ESI level 1-5 and maintain a 4-5:1 patient ratio. Perform clinical skills: PIV, NG/OG tubes, foleys, splinting, wound care, US guided IV. Assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement. Answer call lights and transport patients, including psych patients awaiting placement. Float to other departments and complete EMTALA paperwork as required.Requirements: 2+ years ED RN experience and 1+ year of travel experience required. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required. Knowledge of triage, PIV, port access/de-access, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, splint/OCL application. Preferred experience with US guided IV.
