Medical Assistant CoordinatorIt's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)The Medical Assistant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily clinical and administrative workflows to support efficient patient care operations. This role serves as a central point of coordination for patient scheduling, authorizations, and communication, while also providing clinical support to physicians as needed. The MA Coordinator ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient experience.Key Responsibilities:Coordination & Administrative Duties:Coordinate daily patient flow, including scheduling, follow-ups, and provider supportObtain and manage insurance authorizations and referralsServe as a primary point of contact for patient questions and care coordinationMaintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemManage medical records, insurance verification, and required formsSupport office operations and assist the Office Manager with workflow coordinationPrepare patients for provider encounters, including rooming and intakeTake and record vital signsPerform basic clinical procedures such as EKGs, blood draws, specimen collection, and injectionsAssist physicians during examinations and procedures as neededEnsure exam rooms are properly prepared and stockedAdditional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical assistant or healthcare settingBLS Certification (required)Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)High School Diploma or GED requiredCertificate/Diploma from an accredited program requiredSkills & Competencies:Strong organizational and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and patient service skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of insurance authorization and medical documentation processesVarious hours to be discussed at the interviewSalary range: $26.65/hr - $28.75/hr (commensurate with experience)Employment non-discrimination: Richmond University Medical Center is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment and provides full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and needs including lactation accommodations, physical or mental disability, age, immigration or citizenship status, veteran or active military status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
