Reporting to the Site Manager, it manages a team of technicians and collaborates with departments such as Operations, Technical Support, Spare Parts, and CMMS Administration to implement proactive strategies, uphold compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.Ideal Candidate ProfileYou are a strategic and hands-on maintenance leader with a strong background in managing automated distribution centers. You thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at cross-functional coordination, and are committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. With a data-driven mindset, you proactively identify opportunities for improvement, standardize best practices, and work collaboratively to minimize downtime and drive consistent site performance.QualificationsPost-secondary education in mechanical/electrical or related fields, preferably with an engineering degreeSkills/Experience Required3–5 years in a leadership role within maintenance or manufacturing environmentsProficient in core maintenance principles and experienced in applying 5S methodologiesStrong analytical and data-driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and prioritizationDemonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and implement effective systemsStrategic, hands-on leader with manufacturing startup experience (an asset)Excellent communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the organizationCommitted to safety, compliance, and continuous improvementAdaptable and resilient in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsCollaborative mindset focused on standardization and operational excellenceWillingness to travel to different sites during the training periodKey ResponsibilitiesOversight and accountability for all maintenance shifts of the 24/7 automated facilityCreate and maintain reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze daily faultsCollaborate with Site Manager to review maintenance procedures and maintain customer service levelsEnsure maintenance teams are optimized and staffed accordingly, managing headcount, overtime, and team performanceOversee the upkeep and proper use of WITRON Computerized Management System and maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to planned, unplanned and preventative maintenanceBe a motivated team builder, coach and trainer fostering a culture of continuous improvementMaximize machinery availability targeted, planned and unplanned repairsMaintain clear and consistent communication with all departments and leadersOversee parts and tools inventory, implementing cost control measures, and providing monthly headcount, parts, and cost forecastingBuild close ties with other WITRON sites and headquarters in Germany to facilitate guidance and knowledge best practice sharingBe on call as per the escalation procedures and respond efficiently to minimize machinery downtimeCompliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety programOther duties as assignedOur benefits at PilesgroveYour advantages at a glance.
