Our core values include Innovation, Collaboration, Elevation, Accountability & Hospitality.Position Overview: The Maintenance Handyman is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Supervisor in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the high-rise condominium’s common areas, systems, and equipment. The role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to ensure the building operates efficiently and provides a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. Availability for On Call rotation is required.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance:Assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the building’s systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, and general facilities.Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, painting, and repairing minor leaks.Conduct regular inspections of common areas to identify and address any maintenance needs, including cleanliness and safety issues.Support For Building SystemsAssist with the upkeep and monitoring of mechanical systems, such as boilers, pumps, and ventilation Help troubleshoot minor issues with building systems and escalate more complex problems to the Maintenance Supervisor.Cleaning and Upkeep:Help maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and outdoor spaces.Assist with landscaping and general exterior maintenance as needed.Ensure that trash and recycling are properly managed and removed from the building according to schedule.Inventory And ToolsMaintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.Safety And ComplianceFollow all building safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA regulations.Assist in emergency situations by following established protocols and supporting the maintenance team during critical events, such as power outages or water leaks. Qualifications ExperienceMinimum 1-2 years in building maintenance, facility management, or related, preferably in a high-rise or residential setting.Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and general maintenance skills. SkillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.Good English communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and contractors professionally.Education/CertificationsBasic certifications in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work are a plus but not required.High school diploma or equivalent required.Technical or vocational training in a maintenance-related field is preferred but not mandatory.
