The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep, light maintenance, and basic repairs of the building's facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents. This is a fulltime position working Sat thru Wed--Thursdays and Fridays off.Key Responsibilities:Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional mannerDaily tasks such as pressure washing, cleaning windows, ensuring pool furniture and umbrellas are clean and available for residents' useExterior upkeep--ensure walkways, elevators, pool area are free and clear of debrisMaintain common areas (lobby, hallways, amenities, parking garage, etc.) in clean and operational conditionRespond to building emergenciesConduct preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and minor adjustmentsAssist with property inspections and vendor coordination for specialized repairs or servicesEnsure tools, inventory, and maintenance supplies are well-stocked and properly storedFollow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred1-2 years of maintenance or building operations experience (residential or commercial)Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems preferred but not requiredAbility to perform minor carpentry/painting tasksStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor conditionsBenefits:17 PTO days off-- includes vacation, sick, and personal time off10 paid holidaysYour birthday off1 floating holidayMedical, dental, and vision benefits after 30 days and 401k after 90 daysAKAM offers growth opportunitiesAKAM is committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and an inclusive work environment.
