The APN is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining an individual level of knowledge and experience and assuming responsibility for advancing knowledge utilizing available resource persons and programs.Required Licenses And CertificationsCurrent NJ APN licenseNP CertificationCDS requiredDEA requiredRN requiredBLS requiredScheduling RequirementsDay Shift40hrs 4-5 days/week Essential FunctionsComprehensive psychiatric evaluations, intakes, consults or may maintain a case load and all pertinent clinical documentationIs responsible for knowledge of the patient population served and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics The Psychiatric APN assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs availableThe Advanced Practice Nurse provides an advanced level of nursing care based upon graduate education and broad experience with behavioral health patients and their familiesThe APN practices in collaboration with the physicians, clinicians, case managers and other health care professionalsThe APN practices and conforms to the guidelines set by the NJ Board of Nursing, NJSA 13:37 for the regulation of nurses in advance practice as Nurse PractitionersThe APN is responsible for performing duties independently following established and standardized procedures and methods referring questionable situations to physicianThe ANP provides behavioral health care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, clinical judgment and management to restore, maintain and improve the health status of patientsContact a Physician Recruiter
