Physician's Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! You will provide healthcare services under the supervision of a psychiatrist.Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for new and established patients.Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications by evidence-based practices.Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators to ensure integrated treatment.Provide ongoing medication management and crisis intervention as needed.Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR).Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and wellness strategies.Participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant programMaster's degree in Physician Assistant with a specialization in Psychiatry preferred. Will train.Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida.DEA registration with the ability to prescribe controlled substances.A minimum of 1–2 years of psychiatric practice experience is preferred.Experience working with diverse and underserved populations is strongly preferred.Strong interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and a teamwork mindset.Familiarity with trauma-informed care and integrated health models is a plus.Preferred Skills:Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not requiredExperience with mental health and substance use treatmentProficiency in EHR systems (e.g., IMS, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athena)Company DescriptionWorking at a mental health clinic can be a rewarding and impactful career choice for several reasons.
