Physician Assistant Opportunity Join our healthcare team at Lotus Behavioral Health in Winter Spring, FL. The ideal candidate should be skilled in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Contract- $55- $60.00/hourly. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests for patients entering residential facility. Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plan. Prescribe medications and provide patient education regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and other relevant information. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Provide patient counseling and support, addressing concerns and answering questions regarding their medical condition and treatment options. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychiatry NPs and behavioral therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans. Stay informed about current medical practices, guidelines, and advancements through continuous education and professional development activities. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current certification as a Physician Assistant. State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant. Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently within the scope of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. Detail-oriented with proficient organizational and time management abilities. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct. Education and Experience: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Nursing Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders Ability to work with youth/child populations Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Florida A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Florida Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs(e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP) Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of Provident credentialing staff. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Office environment; however, this position demands floor supervision and travel within the community, as needed. Heavy exposure/use of computers, cell phones, office phones, etc. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; one must also have adequate vision to read correspondence(s), computer screen(s), form(s), etc. Manual dexterity is sufficient to operate a keyboard, copier, telephone, calculator, and the ability to write and/or type. Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and to sit for prolonged periods throughout work hours. Must be able to lift and/or move 25 or more pounds occasionally. Must respond appropriately and effectively in crises by using good judgment and following Lotus Behavioral Health protocols. Supervision will be provided.
