Certified Surgical Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in New York, NY 10019. This is an 8-week assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Title: Certified Surgical TechLocation: New York, NY 10019W2 Pay (Local): $55/hr - $62/hrSchedule: Night shift, 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM, 5 days per weekStart date: 04/21/2026Role Overview:Assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic conditions, and supporting surgical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.Key Responsibilities:Perform scrub duties including surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving.Set up sterile instrument tables and surgical supplies based on procedure type.Assist surgeons by anticipating instruments, sutures, sponges, and equipment needs.Maintain aseptic technique and monitor the sterile field.Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with circulating nurse.Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfers.Handle and label medications and surgical specimens according to policy.Assist with room cleanup, equipment sterilization, and preparation for next procedure.Support operating room workflow and maintain organized sterile storage areas.Requirements:Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification – requiredCompletion of a CST training programHigh school diploma requiredLabor & Delivery (L&D) OR experience requiredStrong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical proceduresGood communication, teamwork, and physical staminaWork Environment:Operating room setting with exposure to various surgical procedures, equipment, and clinical conditions.Pride Global offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
