About Imperium DynamicsImperium Dynamics is a fast-growing Microsoft Partner specializing in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and agentic AI solutions. We deliver enterprise-grade implementations for clients across industries, from mid-market to global organizations. We are looking for a seasoned Dynamics CE Solution Architect to join our Chicago team and lead solution architecture across our Customer Engagement portfolio.Role OverviewThe Dynamics CE Solution Architect is the primary solution design leader for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement implementations. This role owns the full architecture lifecycle from discovery and business process design through go-live and post-implementation optimization. Candidates bring deep CE expertise spanning Customer Service, Sales, Customer Insights, and Field Service, along with global project experience and the consulting presence to lead workshops, align stakeholders, and set the technical standard for the delivery team. This is a fully onsite role based in the Chicago Loop.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalysis and DiscoveryReview the SOW prior to engagement to confirm all discovery sessions are within project scope.Lead stakeholder workshops to capture business requirements and define current-state processes (As-Is).Perform gap-fit analysis against D365 CE capabilities and identify integration and data migration needs.Validate requirements with key stakeholders and confirm alignment before design begins.Business Process DesignFacilitate To-Be process design sessions, translating business requirements into optimized future-state workflows within the D365 CE platform.Guide clients through process decisions, helping them understand configuration options, platform capabilities, and the tradeoffs of custom vs. standard approaches.Produce and validate To-Be process documentation as a foundation for FDD development and solution blueprinting.Champion process alignment across departments and workstreams, particularly on global or multi-region engagements.Solution Architecture and DesignOwn end-to-end solution architecture design, including solution blueprints, integration architecture, and platform configuration decisions.Review and co-own the solution blueprint with the Technical Architect and keep stakeholders informed of updates to system design.Author and review Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Functional Test Documents (FTDs), and related solution artifacts.Ensure all architecture decisions align with Microsoft best practices and enterprise-grade standards.Success by Design and GovernanceLead and facilitate Microsoft Success by Design workshops, including Solution Blueprint Review, Performance Review, and Go-Live Readiness Review.Serve as the project escalation point for architectural ambiguity, feasibility concerns, and solution drift.Conduct risk assessments and drive mitigation planning across all project phases.Stakeholder and Client EngagementServe as the primary client-facing solution leader, communicating design decisions, managing expectations, and driving executive alignment.Lead requirements validation sessions and design approval workshops with client stakeholders.Maintain a proactive communication cadence with client project sponsors and internal delivery leadership.Delivery OversightProvide guidance to functional consultants and business analysts throughout the implementation lifecycle.Review test plans, UAT cases, and deployment readiness artifacts.Support go-live planning, hypercare, and post-implementation optimization.Required Qualifications7+ years of hands-on Dynamics 365 CE experience across one or more of: Customer Service (case management, SLAs, routing, omnichannel, knowledge management), Sales, Customer Insights, or Field Service.Deep specialization in D365 Customer Service is required; breadth across other CE modules is strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle D365 CE implementations as the primary Solution Architect, including ownership of both As-Is and To-Be process design.Experience with global or multi-region projects (multi-language, multi-timezone delivery, international stakeholders).Proficiency in Success by Design methodology and Microsoft FastTrack review facilitation.Strong command of FDD/FTD authoring and review, solution blueprinting, and integration design.Solid understanding of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Azure integration patterns.Chicago-based with ability to work onsite in the Chicago Loop full-time.Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft Certified: MB-230 (D365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate).Microsoft Certified: MB-210 (D365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate).Microsoft Certified: PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect Expert).Experience with Copilot for Customer Service and agentic AI use cases within D365.Prior experience at a Microsoft Partner (consulting firm or ISV).What We ValueConsulting Excellence: You communicate with confidence and clarity, whether in a discovery call, a blueprint review, or a go-live war roomOwnership Mindset: You lead, not just execute, and you bring the team along with you.Architectural Rigor: You care about doing it right the first time and back it up with documentation and governance.Process Partnership: You guide clients through transformation, not just configuration — you shape how they work, not just what gets built.Adaptability: Global clients, diverse industries, an evolving Microsoft platform — you thrive in complexity.
