LPN (0-3) Shift 1 | Outpatient Adult Mental Health Services (952)

Job Purpose: - The LPN position is integral to the efficient functioning of their assigned Unit. They will, by virtue of their role, be responsible for providing client care and improving nursing service in an organized nursing unit. Will assist consumers in increasing interaction skills, in improving level of functioning and in gaining insight into their illness; this includes establishing a meaningful relationship with all consumers. Key Responsibilities: - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols. - Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team. - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. - Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients, addressing their needs and concerns with professionalism and sensitivity. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care practices. - Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans, promoting understanding and engagement in the care process. - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Required Education & Experience: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. - Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing, preferably in a mental health setting. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong understanding of nursing care procedures and protocols. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. - Ability to assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. - Proficiency in using healthcare software and electronic medical records. - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
