Warehouse Associate
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Team Member executes critical receiving, inventory control, allocation, and staging operations that keep production supplied with materials. This role is the frontline executor of our 14-phase warehouse workflow, ensuring materials flow correctly from receiving dock to production floor while maintaining accuracy in our MISYS system and physical inventory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving & Quality Control
· Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness
· Verify packing slips against physical items and perform quantity counts
· Identify and escalate discrepancies (shortages, damage, wrong items) to management
· Coordinate with Quality Assurance team on inspection requirements
· Ensure all materials meet quality standards before entering inventory
Inventory Management & System Processing
· Process receipts in company ERP system with accuracy and attention to detail
· Maintain accurate inventory records using both physical and digital tracking systems
· Organize materials using established bin location and labeling systems
· Execute smart staging decisions (direct-to-job vs. general stock)
· Support cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives
Work Order Fulfillment & Production Support
· Pull and kit materials for production work orders based on Bill of Materials (BOM)
· Build complete job carts with all required components verified against requirements
· Ensure materials are properly kitted before release to production floor
· Update job status and communicate material readiness to Production team
· Prevent production delays through proactive material preparation
Warehouse Organization & Coordination
· Maintain clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse operations
· Follow detailed standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality
· Monitor commonly used materials and flag low inventory levels
· Communicate effectively with Procurement, QA, and Production teams
· Support replenishment planning and material flow optimization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
· Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift
· Able to work in warehouse environment (temperature variations, noise)
Technical Skills
· Computer proficiency required: ERP systems, Excel spreadsheets, and inventory tracking software
· Ability to read and interpret packing slips, Bills of Materials, purchase orders, and part numbers
· Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and inventory calculations
· Language: Vietnamese speaking ability strongly preferred but not required (majority Vietnamese-speaking workplace)

· Strong attention to detail — Critical for defense contract work where accuracy is non-negotiable
· Ability to follow detailed procedures — Our 14-phase workflow has specific rules and stop conditions for quality control
· Problem identification and escalation — Know when to stop and ask for help vs. proceed independently
· Self-directed work ethic — Manager needs team members who can execute the workflow without constant supervision
· Reliable attendance and team-oriented mindset
· Comfortable with structured processes and documented SOPs
PREFERRED SKILLS
· Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience (defense or aerospace industry a plus)
· Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management software systems
· Experience with BOM-based kitting or work order fulfillment in a manufacturing environment
· Understanding of inventory control principles and cycle counting processes
· Ability to identify quality issues in manufactured components and materials
