That’s the heat we bring.Role DescriptionThis is a part time role for a Farmers Market Manager, based in the Austin, TX area. The Farmers Market Manager will manage operations, sales, vendor relations, and overall market logistics. Responsibilities include managing sales, interfacing with customers, overseeing setup and breakdown, ensuring compliance with market regulations, managing promotional activities, and engaging with the community to enhance the market's presence and success.Market positions available:Downtown Farmers Market - 9am-1pmBarton Creek Farmers Market - 9am-1pmBell Farmers Market - 9am-1pmPay allotted for an hour before and after market for set up, breakdown, and transportation.QualificationsSTRONG communication and customer service skillsPersonable attitude towards customers and representing the companyHighly organizedDependable and able to work every Saturday from 8am-2pmDeep knowledge of the products and mission and ability to answer customer questionsMarket operations and vendor management skillsExperience in logistics coordinationKnowledge of marketing and promotional activitiesAbility to work independentlyExperience in a similar role or in sales is a plusValid driver's license and reliable transportation highly preferredPay for this position is $10/hour plus tips which amounts to $20+/hour on an average day for 6 hours of work. Both market locations are extremely busy and require interfacing with upwards of hundreds of customers, but the more interactions and potential tips.
