Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions.Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Design Engineer to assist with our projects in Detroit!Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil engineering designs for projects involving:Civil site developmentRoadways and pavementsWater, wastewater, and stormwater systemsPublic and private infrastructure improvementsDevelop plans, profiles, sections, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3DAssist in the preparation of engineering calculations, reports, cost estimates, and specificationsCoordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teamsSupport permitting and regulatory coordination with municipal and state agenciesReview drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standardsRespond to construction-phase questions and assist with design clarificationsParticipate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with internal teamsSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline4-7 years of civil engineering experience with emphasis on:Civil site developmentMunicipal infrastructure projectsPrivate development projectsAutoCAD Civil 3D experience is requiredEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferredStrong understanding of civil design principles and permitting processesExperience working in a consulting engineering environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlinesStrong written, verbal, and organizational communication skillsBenefits401(k) w/ company matchHealth insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, LifeFlexible schedulePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementCatalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
