Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description Veterans Engineering is actively seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for our Medical-Surgical unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery or dealing with ongoing medical conditions. You will work as part of a collaborative team while utilizing your clinical skills to assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and critical thinking skills and have a passion for patient care. This position offers a supportive environment along with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care and overall patient needsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by the physicianRead and interpret cardiac stripsTitrate down Amiodarone & CardizemEducate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and ongoing careMaintain patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and proceduresParticipate in staff meetings and professional development opportunitiesRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) requiredCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operationMinimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience (within last 6 months)Telemetry experience requiredCertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysTravel RequirementsTravel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.EEO StatementVeterans Engineering is committed to fostering a workplace rooted in excellence, integrity, and equal opportunity for all.
