Logistics Dispatcher Supervisor

Job Description: The Dispatch Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a fleet of trucks and drivers. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive route plan, delivery schedules, driver scheduling, and dispatching. Essential Duties: Manage daily operations of a fleet of trucks and drivers (will train) Develop and execute a comprehensive route plan to maximize efficiency and safety Communicate with drivers on a daily basis to ensure optimal driving and scheduling Communicate with customers on a daily basis to ensure optimal driving and scheduling Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current events in the industry Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and personal legal requirements Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills: Excellent communication skills Excellent time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail is key; must be able to record notes in vehicles’ dashboards and take accurate measurements using equipment as needed Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think critically to achieve desired results in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Knowledge of Microsoft TEAMS and the use of a Transportation Management System (TMS) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,500.00 - $65,500.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
