About NuCare APINuCare API is a pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution company — we supply active pharmaceutical ingredients to compounding pharmacies, physicians, and hospitals. Our tech department builds the systems that support the wider organization, and we're hiring a contract Odoo developer to join it.The RoleOur operations backend runs on Odoo (Python/PostgreSQL) on Google Cloud. It handles our business and operational workflows and connects to outside platforms: CRM, e-signature, external data feeds, and regulatory APIs. You'd build custom modules inside it and the integration modules that connect it to everything else.How we work: fast, with AI tools used to their fullest. AI amplifies experience — it doesn't replace it — so we're looking for engineers with strong fundamentals who use it to ship at a pace most teams can't match.What you'd work on• Custom Odoo modules for our internal workflows• Integration modules connecting Odoo to outside platforms (CRM, e-signature, data feeds, regulatory APIs)• Troubleshooting, optimizing, and refactoring existing modules as the platform growsWhat we need• Proven experience building custom Odoo modules (any version), or a strong track record in a comparable ORM-based ERP framework• Working knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL (or a similar relational database)• Experience building integrations between systems (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines)• Fluency with AI-assisted development, backed by the experience to judge and correct what it produces• You write tests, and you can work independently on a distributed team• Awareness of data privacy requirements (HIPAA or similar)Nice to have: familiarity with Google Cloud or a comparable cloud platform.How to applyThis is a remote contract role on a production system with real users, open to US-based candidates only (no visa sponsorship).
