Staff Pharmacist - Brownsburg, Indiana

Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A Clinical Pharmacist opportunity based in Brownsburg, IN is available for a contract-to-hire position over 13 weeks, working primarily in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment. This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible Saturday shifts based on business needs.This position focuses on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide advanced pharmacotherapy services. The pharmacist will engage in direct patient care, therapeutic drug monitoring, and evidence-based medication recommendations to optimize patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescription orders.Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions.Review and interpret physician prescriptions to verify therapy appropriateness.Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance medication adherence and therapeutic results.Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and interventions.Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.Manage proper storage and handling of medications, monitoring for expired or damaged stock.Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering and stocking.Provide responsive, professional customer service.Stay current with pharmacy practice developments through ongoing education.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.Valid Indiana Pharmacy License.California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to obtain via reciprocity (assistance provided).Experience with Medication Therapy Management and clinical pharmacy practices.Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and patient care.This role offers a dynamic clinical setting with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
