CONTROLLER Pittsburgh, PA $105,000 - $115,000 The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role plays a key part in financial reporting, analysis, liquidity management, and operational controls while supporting leadership, audits, and regulatory examinations. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:Oversee and manage all financial and accounting activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsPrepare, maintain, and support financial reporting, including month-end close, Board reporting, Asset Liability Management (ALM) reporting, and Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) reportingAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvementAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, processes, and internal controlsManage the month-end close process, including review of financial statements, general ledger activity, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliationsSupport liquidity management to ensure sufficient levels are maintained to meet operational and member demandOversee vendor and operational expenses to ensure compliance with approved contracts, proposals, and agreementsComplete and maintain annual vendor due diligence requirementsManage all required tax reporting, including coordination and review of member 1099 and 1098 documentationAssist in the management and oversight of the investment portfolioSupport annual audits, regulatory exams, and examinations by preparing and providing requested documentationCross-train and provide backup support for departmental functions as neededManage departmental workflow to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of accounting responsibilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:5-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a credit union or banking environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting (required)Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEB-1510996035
