Property Support Center - AR/AP Finance Intern

The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Finance Intern will work closely with Finance leadership and team members on a variety of accounting & finance related topics. This position will provide valuable hands-on experiences that will cultivate working knowledge and expertise in the Accounting & Finance disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and advancing their financial, reporting, and professional skillsets to the next level. This position will require a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple requests within a fast-paced environment. We are currently looking for a:Property Support Center - AR/AP Finance Intern Roles & Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities:Daily creation, deposit, and application of AR payments collected in external systems Weekly payment reconciliations Bi-weekly reconciliation of accounts receivable invoices in Workday against the point of sale system Participate in troubleshooting issues Process Account Payable invoices Participate in troubleshooting AP/AR issues with parks Participate in Finance-related special projects and ad-hoc requests, as assigned Shadow other Finance team members to gain valuable exposure to a variety of accounting and finance-related activities Perform administrative duties and data-entry, as needed Propose and implement process improvements to streamline financial processes and reporting Assist with point of sale product creation, as needed Assist with revenue report distribution, as needed Assist with data management, as needed All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent Must be currently enrolled (or recently graduated) in a bachelor's or master's degree program, with a concentration in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or Business Management Previous related work or internship experience is a plus Previous hospitality, amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience preferred Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines with strong accuracy and precision Previous experience in AR/AP, Point of Sale (POS), and/or revenue recognition a plus Ability to use office technology and equipment, such as PC, software, and copier Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point Ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of varying skill and knowledge levels Must possess strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently Physical Requirements:Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer Ability to occasionally stand or walk for periods of time during special events Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more Working Conditions:This role will primarily be based in a corporate office environment Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, shifting priorities, and time-sensitive requests Team member benefits:Working at Herschend Family Entertainment is all about creating memories worth repeating!
