This role offers the opportunity to step in as a technical leader, stabilize legacy systems, and drive architecture modernization across a major enterprise platform.SummaryThe Senior Software Engineer will serve as the technical linchpin for the House Cost Management (HCM) module, helping modernize legacy .NET Framework applications into a scalable Azure-based, API-first, event-driven architecture. This role is far more than hands-on development—it is a leadership opportunity to guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner closely with the Architect to drive one of the company’s highest-priority initiatives.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across C#, .NET Core, Azure cloud services, and modern front-end development with Angular or React. Strong architectural thinking, leadership ability, and a passion for modernization are critical for success.ResponsibilitiesModernize legacy .NET Framework applications into scalable Azure microservices and modern Angular/TypeScript front-end solutionsSupport the architecture shift toward an API-first, event-driven cloud environment using Azure-native servicesDesign and implement event-driven solutions using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, App Services, and Azure FunctionsAnalyze and stabilize legacy applications while supporting monthly market rollouts and business-critical releasesPartner closely with the Solution Architect to own technical execution and module-level delivery strategyLead and mentor junior and mid-level developers while promoting strong engineering standards including TDD, Clean Architecture, and best development practicesLeverage GenAI tools such as Cursor and Copilot Studio to accelerate legacy code analysis, workflow automation, and engineering efficiencyParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and modernization strategy planningSupport CI/CD processes and deployment workflows through Azure DevOps (ADO)Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and technical teams to align delivery with enterprise prioritiesRequirements8+ years of professional software engineering experienceExpert-level experience with C#, .NET Core, and legacy .NET Framework applicationsStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event GridExperience with Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise deployment workflowsStrong front-end development experience with Angular (preferred) or strong React with TypeScriptDeep understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices architecture, and modern API design principlesProven ability to work within and modernize complex enterprise systemsStrong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide development teams and influence technical directionExperience working in high-visibility, business-critical transformation initiatives preferredInterest or experience leveraging AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot Studio, or other GenAI platforms within software engineering workflows is highly preferredAdditional PerksHybrid schedule with onsite presence Tuesday–Thursday in BuckheadFlexible early schedule (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM) to help avoid Atlanta trafficOpportunity to work on one of the company’s top three strategic priorities for 2026Direct visibility with senior leadership and enterprise architecture teamsTRC Talent Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
