DescriptionRegistered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab The St. John Medical Center Cath Lab performs a variety of state-of-the-art procedures giving our team a well-rounded experience in coronary and peripheral disease procedures.Cardiac Cath Lab RNs may scrub, circulate or monitor cases. Job Description: Provides safe, efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. QualificationsQualifications - External 1 year RN experience preferred.Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred.Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio is required.Current BLS and ACLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.Preferred experience: ICU, ED, Cath/EP Lab; will orient nurses to critical care if no critical care experience.Shift: Hours: 4- 10-hour shifts per week.RNs currently take call every third weekend, and approximately 2 additional shifts per week. 8 hours: Rotating 0630-1700, or 0700-1730 Call Requirement: 30 minutes arrival to hospital after page Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency) Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
