Housekeeping Lead Tech

Do you have a passion for people and helping others? As a Housekeeping Associate Shift Lead at NMC Health, you will play an important role in the health and safety of patients. You will use your commitment to quality and attention to detail every day as you ensure compliance with medical standards for cleaning of patient rooms and other care giving, public and office spaces. Your position includes traditional janitorial tasks like mopping and dusting, but also requires an understanding of proper handling and disposal of biological waste. You will have contact with patients, family members and employees, so strong communication, confidentiality and customer service skills are key. In this role you will maintain shift tasks, monitor completion of assigned areas in and around the hospital and perform leadership tasks as needed throughout the day. QUALIFICATIONS Education and experience: High school graduate or equivalent desired Prior housekeeping a plus Prior leadership experience required Knowledge and skills: Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to all customers including others on the environmental services team, employees throughout the facility and external customers. Ability and willingness to follow written and oral instructions. Quality and speed needed for this position. Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stoop, bend, stand and walk for an 8-hour shift or longer. Will also need to climb ladders and clean windows.
