Full-time 1st shift (6:30am-3:30pm) custodian position at Newton High School.QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or vocational trainingAbility to meet all physical requirements of assigned dutiesDemonstrated aptitude or competence for all assigned responsibilitiesSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of education may find appropriate and acceptableREPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL AND CUSTODIAL SUPERVISORJOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and developPerformance ResponsibilitiesKeep floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.Dust and clean furniture and fixtures on a daily schedule.Keep wastebaskets empty and clean.Clean chalkboards on a scheduled basis.Report to the custodial supervisor and building principal any acts of vandalism, any evidence of deliberate or excessive littering, and any behavior by students that is demeaning to the custodian.
