Join our team to develop cutting-edge missile tracking and prediction algorithms that make a real impact.We're Hiring: Algorithms Engineers Location: Boulder, Colorado 80301Focus Area: MDA Missile Tracking & PredictionSalary Ranges:Level II: $90,000 – $125,000 (Midpoint $112K)Level III: $110,000 – $155,000 (Midpoint $135K)Baseline Requirements:Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret or higherEducation: B.S. in Aerospace, Math, Physics, or related STEM fieldTechnical Proficiency: Linux, Python, C++, MATLAB, Object-Oriented ProgrammingEnvironment: Background in Aerospace or PhysicsBonus Points For:Familiarity with physics-based algorithms for missile tracking/prediction.Familiarity with Kalman, Kepler, and polynomial filters.Experience with OPIR, EOIR sensors, and image/signal processing.Exposure to microservices, containerization, CI/CD, and Agile.Understanding of orbital mechanics, particle physics, and astrophysics.AI/ML experience in defense systems.What You’ll Do:Design algorithms for IR sensor data processing, satellite tracking, and state estimation.Translate physics-based equations into real-time C++ code for missile trajectory prediction.Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and contribute to technical peer reviews.Evaluate system performance and integrate code into operational systems.Troubleshoot using simulated and live sensor data.Analyze tracking algorithms using Python and maintain supporting toolsDevelop test cases, generate plots, and automate performance testingCollect and interpret IR sensor and measurement data for target tracking
