Call Center Specialist

Call Center Specialist Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Northern Nevada Health System, offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services for the entire family. Our providers offer wellness services, family, geriatric and internal medicine, along with specialty care including cardiology, general surgery, podiatry and sleep medicine. The Call Center Specialist is responsible for answering incoming calls and scheduling patient appointments. This includes patient registration, insurance eligibility, appointment verification, rescheduling, and the intake of other general telephone inquiries. The position also requires supporting the Call Center/practice by providing effective customer service to patients and medical offices. Job duties include: scheduling patient appointments, maintaining emotional stability and calm disposition, adapting to flexible work schedules, problem solving, and making decisions. Qualifications include: being careful about detail, excellent telephone manner, knowledge of medical terminology and electronic patient management systems, knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, ability to use CPM/EMR system effectively, ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy, flexibility, organization, and functioning well under pressure.
