Its technology solutions are tailored to meet client needs while driving efficiency and innovation.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Plano, TX for a Full Stack Developer specializing in Node.js and React. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications. Key Responsibilities 1.     Front-End Development (React):Build and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React. Develop reusable component libraries, implement state management patterns (Redux, Context API, or similar), and ensure seamless integration with back-end APIs and real-time data streams from IoT devices.2.     Back-End Development (Node.js):Design and develop scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express (or similar frameworks). Implement business logic, middleware, authentication/authorization services, and data processing pipelines that support our energy management platform.3.     Database Design and Management:Work with NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB) databases as well as in-memory cache like Redis. Design efficient data models, write optimized queries, and implement caching strategies to support high-throughput IoT data ingestion and analytics.4.     Cloud Services and Infrastructure:Leverage cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for deploying, scaling, and monitoring applications. Work with services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Event Grids, and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) as needed.5.     IoT Data Integration:Collaborate with firmware and IoT teams to integrate real-time device data into the platform. Build dashboards, visualizations, and alerting systems that translate raw sensor data into actionable insights for facility and energy managers.6.     CI/CD and DevOps Practices:Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. Ensure automated testing, linting, and deployment workflows are in place for rapid and reliable releases.7.     Code Quality and Best Practices:Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Conduct and participate in code reviews, champion testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end), and contribute to architectural decisions that improve maintainability and scalability.8.     Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and other developers in an agile environment. Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.9.     Performance Optimization:Profile and optimize both front-end rendering performance and back-end response times. Identify bottlenecks, implement lazy loading, code splitting, server-side rendering, and database query optimizations as appropriate.10.  Innovation and Continuous Improvement:Stay current with the Node.js and React ecosystems, evaluate emerging libraries and frameworks, and recommend improvements to our technology stack. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through documentation and tech talks.Experience and Skills:1.     Educational Background:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of formal education, we also consider equivalent professional experience as a valid qualification.2.     Professional Experience:Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full stack development with Node.js on the back end and React on the front end. Demonstrated ability to ship production-grade applications in a cloud environment.3.     Technical Expertise:Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React, and modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar). Experience with HTML5, CSS3/SASS, responsive design, and accessibility standards. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, or Cypress.4.     Database and Data Skills:Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Ability to design schemas, write performant queries, and implement data caching and indexing strategies.5.     Cloud and DevOps Knowledge:Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (Azure preferred). Familiarity with containerization (Docker), infrastructure as code, and CI/CD tooling. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.6.     Problem-Solving Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of overcoming complex technical challenges in production environments.7.     Communication Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document solutions clearly.8.     Teamwork and Collaboration:Proven ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
