Apply today and take the first step in working for a company where your contributions and career development truly matter!Job SummaryThe Director of Accounting will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of the general accounting systems, including upkeep of the general ledger, consolidation of financial records, and submission of accurate and timely data for financial reporting purposes. The individual in this role will also be responsible for supervising staff who perform accounting activities such as preparing and posting entries to the general ledger, preparing account reconciliations and performing month-end close responsibilities.Job DutiesPerform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and accrualsLead, develop, and manage staff to drive an accurate and efficient month-end closing process and other required activities of the finance teamDevelop, implement, and maintain policies and processes to ensure accurate financial statements and proper record-keepingConsolidate and report financial statements in compliance with US GAAPMake regular suggestions for improvements to accounting processes to operate more efficiently and work to standardize financial processes across multiple operating segmentsPerform monthly review of sales transactions to ensure prior allocations are performed as part of the Company's revenue recognition process (ASC 606 Revenue Recognition)Perform financial analysis as necessary and as requested, including special projects, requests for information from key business leaders, coordinating internal audits, etc.Coordinate team training and development effortsDelegate work appropriately to ensure deadlines are metEnsure that an orderly accounting filing system is maintainedPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingTen (10) plus years of progressively responsible finance experience for a mid-sized to large company or a division of a large corporationTwo (2) plus years of management experienceProficiency with MS Office toolsFamiliarity with GAAP and financial reporting requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttentiveness to detailAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environmentAbility and willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time to interact face-to-face with team members and attend Company meetings/trainingsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in AccountingCertified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designationsExperience working for a multisite manufacturing company with multistate operationsExperience with ERP implementationsExperience with AcumaticaExperience with ASC 842 Lease AccountingExperience with mergers and acquisitions / integrationsExperience working with multiple finance and business systems including remote environmentsExperience with FP&AAbout Apex Water And Process Inc.Apex Water and Process Inc.
