Accounting Associate Job DescriptionRole Type: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)Employment Basis: Full-timeWork Environment: Strictly onsite/in-personRemote Work: No remote or hybrid options allowedReports to: Accounting ManagerGeneral Description:The Accounting Associate is a full-time non-exempt position, onsite, in person without remote hybrid abilities. This role aids in the accounting needs of the company.Compensation Range:$19 - $24 per hourEssential Responsibilities and Duties:Reconciling the company's daily receipts and update bookkeeping ledgers.Maintain approved cash handling proceduresAssist the Accounting Manager to maintain subcontractor informationData Entry of Accounts Payable / Accounts ReceivableFiling and remitting sales taxes and other financial obligations (including promotional reports)Maintain Inventories and CostingUnderstand financial and accounting softwares used by the companyProcess AP payments & maintain appropriate files - reconcile balances as neededAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high level of discretion, as this role has access to sensitive and confidential financial dataOther duties as assignedQualifications and Skills:Great organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsExperience with accounting & financial softwares and data entryExcellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive financial records and company informationAnalytical skillsEducation and Experience:Accounting degree given preference but not required.Prior experience in accounting job duties.Benefits:Full-Time Employees Receive:Comprehensive benefits packagePaid Time Off (PTO)Full range of Health BenefitsCompany paid LTD & Life InsuranceDiscounted tickets to Mainstage shows$2 onsite meal programDevelopmental TrainingsDiversity Commitment:Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is committed to fostering and cultivating a culture of inclusion that celebrates diversity and promotes equity.Our human capital is the most valuable asset we have.
