This role requires a seasoned facilities professional who can lead facility operations, manage vendor relationships, oversee preventive maintenance programs, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets and capital projects, and serve as the primary facilities representative for the site. You'll be responsible for critical building infrastructure, operational risk management, and making key operational decisions with limited oversight.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Leading and managing all facility operations including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systemsOverseeing vendor and contractor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and coordinating service deliveryDeveloping and managing comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility performance and minimize downtimeEnsuring regulatory compliance with State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and Laws across all facility operationsManaging facility budgets, capital project planning, and cost control initiativesLeading stakeholder engagement across operations, tenants, property management, and leadership teamsManaging critical building infrastructure and operational risk, including emergency response protocolsOverseeing the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with all applicable regulationsDirecting maintenance activities including lighting systems, electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC systems, and general facility repairsManaging work order systems with detailed documentation of performance, labor, and materialsServing as on-call contact for after-hours facility emergencies and coordinating response effortsPromoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and best practicesRequired Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred5+ years of facilities management experience in commercial, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environmentsProven experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providersDemonstrated experience with compliance and preventive maintenance program managementBudget management and capital project planning experienceStrong leadership and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience managing critical building infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systemsExperience with operational risk management and emergency responseAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose complex building system problemsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays; available for on-call after-hours emergenciesAbility to perform physical demands including lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and working in various environmental conditionsValid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related fieldProfessional certifications (CFM, FMA, CEFP, or similar)Commercial HVAC experience and EPA certificationExperience with energy management and sustainability initiativesStrong project management capabilitiesExperience in multi-tenant commercial environmentsAdvanced electrical and plumbing expertiseExperience with building automation systems (BAS)Location:Onsite
Work Shift:Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
