Shipping Supervisor

As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for all day-to-day manufacturing and quality operations on the seamless mill. This position reports directly to the General Supervisor for the Seamless Mill.Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasuresConduct shift safety meetings and daily toolbox talks, train employees on safe work practices, and conduct daily safe job observationsUse LEAN tools from the Rocky Mountain Steel Business System to engage employees to continuously improve mill operationsSchedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and trainingResponsible for managing an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and while performing operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systemsUse quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshoot quality issues promptlyMaintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assuranceWork with shipping department and railroad to manage truck and rail transfersRequirementsBachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent experienceThree years of industrial supervisory experienceProficient in Microsoft Office - Word and ExcelExperience with Oracle, database development, statistical process control, process control, and automation technologies, and lean manufacturing principlesExcellent planning, time management, and organizational skillsProven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivityProven ability to professionally communicate with all levels of personnel, in written and verbal formsDemonstrated initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions#TAHOpen & Closing Dates: 5/13/2026 – 7/13/2026Compensation$85,000 - $90,000Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!Competitive wages and bonus opportunities Family medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee cost Short and long term disability programs Competitive retirement plans Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Employer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance options Paid vacation and recognized statutory holidays Apprenticeship and career advancement within the company Tuition reimbursement Wellness programAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USA.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerOrion Steel Group, L.L.C. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
