With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer, with 10+ years of experience, to join our construction management team on construction projects in the NYC and Lower Hudson Valley Region. As Senior Resident Engineer, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure, water and sewer infrastructure facilities and water and wastewater treatment facilities to successfully execute and manage capital improvement projects. Role accountabilities:As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will manage the day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering Inspection efforts. Internal Staff -As Senior Resident Engineer you will act as a liaison to design staff for response to Contractor RFI's and review of shop drawings. Your technical expertise will be used to review construction plans, specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality. You will also manage the Construction Management field office staff who are responsible for record keeping, processing of periodic payments, drafting of field change orders, negotiation of change orders, general correspondence, compiling and drafting of required reports and deliverables. This will also include ensuring delivery of daily inspection reports in accordance with clients' requirements. Health and Safety:Responsible for management of staff safety, regulatory compliance, permit compliance and coordination with regulatory agencies. Contractor Oversite: You will be responsible for monitoring contractor performance, schedule compliance, overall responsiveness, and effectiveness. This will include exerting influence to ensure that the project goals are staying on target regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc. Lastly, you will manage the contractor payment process and recommend appropriate adjustments as necessary based on work completed. Key Attributes:Prior experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer for large capital improvement projects. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Proficiency with MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to manage personnel and remain responsive to corporate requirements. Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications: 10 years' Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer experience. BS in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent work experience. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $198,000.
