Job Title: Human Resources Manager (Payroll & Benefits Focus)Job Summary. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, designing and administering competitive benefits programs, and supporting overall HR operations. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.Key Responsibilities Payroll ManagementOversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsManage payroll systems, audits, and reporting, including year-end processes (W-2s, tax filings, etc.)Coordinate with finance and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll efficiencyMaintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirementsBenefits AdministrationDesign, implement, and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave policiesServe as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolutionLead annual open enrollment processes, including communication, education, and system updatesEvaluate benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness and alignment with organizational goalsHR Operations &ComplianceEnsure HR policies and procedures comply with applicable labor laws and regulationsMaintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integritySupport internal and external audits related to payroll and benefitsPartner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectivesEmployee Support & CommunicationProvide guidance to employees on payroll, deductions, and benefits optionsDevelop clear communication materials related to compensation and benefits programsPromote employee engagement through effective HR practices and supportQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience,5+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on payroll and benefits administrationIn-depth knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and benefits compliance (e.g., FLSA, ACA, ERISA)Experience with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesPreferred QualificationsProfessional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or CPPExperience managing vendor elationships and benefits negotiationsDemonstrated ability to lead process improvements and system implementationsWork EnvironmentTypically, office-based or hybrid work environmentMay require extended hours during payroll cycles, audits, or open enrollment periodsEqual Opportunity Employer StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
