Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. Our team is dedicated to mentoring and supporting our colleagues, and we believe that everyone has the potential to grow and excel. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team.Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applicationsJavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code reviewWork closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiencesHelp define and interact with REST based API’sTroubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing supportWrite unit tests and conduct quality assurance testingOther duties as assignedThis position allows for partial telework.ClearanceMust obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.ExperienceFive (5) years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; three (3) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.Required SkillsFive plus (5+) years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competencyFamiliarity with Git or other version control softwareComfortable working on a *nix command lineSelf-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordinglyProblem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as neededMust be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2-3 days per week at our Columbia, MD office or Ft. Meade onsite. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as neededDesired SkillsActive Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plusPrevious experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plusDoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customerBenefitsErias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits.
