SummaryThis is a professional level position responsible for designing, implementing and managing the CVL benefits plans. The position is responsible for ensuring CVL benefits remain competitive, support recruitment and retention efforts, and adhere to legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the benefits broker and leadership to design, evaluate and optimize the CVL Employee Benefits Program ensuring benefits offerings that are comprehensive, competitive and cost effective for CVL and its employees. Evaluate and compare existing benefit plans by analyzing benchmark data, cost projections, surveys and other sources of information. Participate in appropriate surveys, analyze results and make recommendations for new benefits or changes to existing programs.Oversee the implementation and administration of each employee benefits program including medical, dental, vision, FSAs, HSA, Life and AD&D, STD, LTD, voluntary benefits, EAP, wellness and retirement plans.Partner with benefits brokers/consultants, vendors and third-party administrators to ensure effective delivery of benefits.Implement new plans or changes to existing plans by developing, reviewing and approving employee communication materials and ensuring accurate configuration in UKG including any new or modifications to file feed integrations.Manage the annual open enrollment process including UKG configuration and testing, creating and executing the employee communication plan, conducting open enrollment meetings and conducting audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.Reviewing and overseeing the dissemination of all legally required plan materials including SPDs, SBCs and PBCs, all other required notices and ACA reporting.Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of benefits plans by reviewing the UKG configuration of benefit groups and deductions, calculating benefits earnings and wellness discounts, auditing premiums, auditing employee and participant data, updating UKG for plan changes, reviewing and improving workflow and documenting all benefits processes.Lead the administration and communication of the retirement plan, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including the annual audit.Evaluate and compare existing benefit plans by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Participate in appropriate surveys, analyze results, evaluate trends and best practices to make recommendations to enhance benefits plans.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing benefits and compensation, including ERISA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and other federal and state regulations.Analyze benefit plans as part of acquisition due diligence and oversee enrollment of acquired employees into the CVL benefit plans. Manage the transition of prior Plan 401k assets into the CMH 401k Plan.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesLeads and directs the work of the Benefits SpecialistQualificationsCritical SkillsKnowledge of benefits legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and ERISA, required.Proficiency in HRIS systems is required, experience with UKG Pro and UKG Pro People Analytics reporting, are a plus.Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.Very strong verbal and written communication skills.Skills And AbilitiesUnderstanding of HR processes, policies and best practices, preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.Ability to perform all duties without significant error occurring with any regularity.Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.Adhere to all Company policies.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.Years Of Experience10+ years’ experience in benefits design, implementation and administration.Experience working with multiple locations and multiple states, preferredExperience with mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration, a plus.Required Certifications And/Or LicensesCEBS designation, Certified Benefits Professions (CBP), and/or SPHR/PHR certification a plus.Physical RequirementsN/ARequired EquipmentN/A
