This role focuses on building and sustaining meaningful relationships with mid-level donors, with the goal of securing gifts of$25,000+ , primarily in support of unrestricted and semi-restricted priorities that advance MSK's mission. The Gift Officer will manage a dynamic portfolio of donors and prospects, leveraging personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies while collaborating closely with colleagues across Development and the institution. Role Overview: Manage a portfolio of100-140 mid-level donors and prospectswith giving capacity in the $25,000-$100,000 rangeProactively qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized outreach, including phone calls, meetings (in-person and virtual), emails, mail, and eventsSolicit gifts at the$25,000+ level , with an emphasis on unrestricted or semi-restricted supportWrite and edit compellingsolicitation and stewardship materials(email and print)Partner with colleagues across Development, Donor Relations, Leadership Annual Giving, Editorial, and hospital faculty to advance donor engagement strategiesLead donor meetings and facilitate interactions between donors and faculty as appropriateSupport select initiatives for theLeadership Annual GivingteamRespond directly to donor inquiries received via phone, web, and written correspondence, including coordinating gift processing once gifts are acceptedMaintain accurate donor records, including demographics and engagement history, and enter all donor interactions in a timely mannerUtilizeCRM tools and Tableau reporting , including metrics dashboards, to track progress and inform strategyComplete special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Associate Director, or Director of Major GiftsKey Qualifications: 2+ years of fundraising experienceor related professional experienceExperience working with aCRM systemand/or events softwareStrong written communication skills, with experience drafting donor-facing materialsExcellent verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including basic Excel skillsCore Skills: Self-motivated and goal-orientedHighly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across teamsEager to learn and interested in ongoing professional developmentCommitted to being part of a driven, supportive, and mission-focused teamStrong interest in healthcare philanthropy and MSK's missionAdditional Information Schedule: Mon-Fri, 37.5 hrs, hybridLocation: 633 Third Avenue, NYCReporting to: Manager, Development - Individual GivingHelpful Links: Compensation PhilosophyBenefitsPay Range: $77,100.00 - $119,400.00 FSLA Status: Exempt Closing: At MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.
