Expect 25–35% travel to project sites, agency offices, and stakeholder meetings. About Arevia PowerArevia Power is an energy developer with a primary focus on solar + battery storage. In addition to PV + BES, Arevia develops powered land for data center construction and natural gas power plants. Arevia has a 5 GW / 5 GW PV + BESS, 1 GW thermal, and 3.5 GW powered land pipeline.   Job Description                  Arevia Power is seeking an experienced VP of Development with at least 8 years of experience in managing the development of two PV + BESS projects, two Power Lands sites and one Natural Gas power plant from early stages of federal permitting / NEPA through Notice To Proceed (NTP). The ideal candidate must have prior NEPA experience (at least two projects fully permitted) on federal lands and be experienced in land acquisitions/negotiations for all types of real estate including easement acquisitions for interconnection rights of ways. This person will need to have a strong technical and regulatory background in project development, environmental review, and interconnection processes, along with proven success navigating complex multi-jurisdictional permitting frameworks. This role requires a versatile individual who, while not necessarily an expert in all areas, but possesses sufficient knowledge to coordinate effectively and identify the right resources and contractors for the projects. Frequent travel within the market will be required to establish and maintain relationships with landowners, decision makers, key/local stakeholders and economic development entities. Performance in this role will be measured based on progressing projects toward FNTP and maintaining project health. Key Responsibilities Lead site identification, feasibility, and development for solar + storage, natural gas, and powered land projectsManage the full development lifecycle — from early-stage site control and due diligence to financial close or notice to proceed (NTP).Run permitting and environmental review across private, state, and federal lands, including NEPA, ESA, Clean Water Act §404, NHPA §106, and state equivalents (CEQA, SEQRA, etc.)Interface with federal agencies (BLM, USACE, DOE, USFWS, EPA, DOD) and state/local authorities to obtain land use entitlements, air quality permits, and other regulatory approvals.Build and maintain relationships with landowners, utilities, communities, and economic development partners in our marketsDirect consultants and engineers on environmental studies, technical assessments, and interconnection applicationsTrack and interpret evolving energy, permitting, and data infrastructure policy that impacts development strategy.Partner with commercial, legal, and finance on offtake, cost estimates, and investment analysisRun project budgets, schedules, and pipeline health, and present progress and risks to the Investment CommitteeSupport diligence on acquisitions alongside the BD and M&A team — valuation, risk, structuringQualifications 8+ years in power generation or infrastructure development, with meaningful time on renewable and/or gas projectsA track record of fully permitting projects on federal lands, including at least two NEPA-permitted projectsStrong fluency in federal agency coordination, environmental review, and multi-jurisdictional permittingStrong understanding of air permitting requirements for combustion-based generation.Experience with land acquisition and negotiation, including easements for interconnection rights-of-wayStrong communicator who can hold their own in regulatory and public forumsComfort with GIS, project mapping, and environmental dataBachelor's degree required (Environmental Science or related field a plus)
