Description
The Systems Engineer will ensure the operational functionality of system releases by focusing on all aspects of system design and engineering/integration. The Systems Engineer will work with STEI stakeholders, development and support teams to develop and integrate secure capabilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing on-site engineering, support, and research of SIGINT/IO/EW/CSO systems Identifying, deconflicting and orchestrating integration of innovative technology being developed throughout the community
Supporting systems engineering over a broad range of hardware types including RF assemblies, power supplies (AC and DC), FPGAs, digital signal processors, network/server equipment, and embedded architectures
Planing, testing, and providing technical expertise to the identification of innovative technology within the community
Evaluating vendor capabilities to provide required products and services
Analyzing, interpreting, and generating engineering schematics and change notices
Performing system and performance modeling
Performing root cause analysis
Designing hardware with respect to component/assembly analysis, specification, integration, and testing
Reviewing RF System/Subsystem analysis and specification

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in systems, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering
10 years of full-time professional experience in systems engineering, with two of the years being full-time experience at the system level in any of the following areas: requirements definition, system design parameters, concepts operation, risk assessment, productivity studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, post-delivery support of COE or EW Systems
Three years of full-time professional experience in each of the following skillsets/disciplines: Operating Systems experience in Windows and Linux
Linux System administrator
Hardware and Software configuration management of tracking bug, enhancements, requirements, risks, test results, and tasks
System and Network Security related activities to include design, implementation, configuration and enforcement of security controls on network, hardware, and software components and devices
One year of full-time professional experience support of total Life-Cycle system design or equivalent academic background
