Maintenance
Full-Time Maintenance PositionDistrict-WideFull-Time: 8 Hours Per DayEducation:High School diploma or equivalent;Bilingual preferred.Duties/Skills/Qualifications:Previous experience in building maintenance, grounds, or custodial services is helpful;Performs general maintenance work and repairs inside and outside the buildings such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, ceiling, roof, tile, etc.;Maintains all safety and code requirements of the state, local, and Board guidelines;Maintains building doors and door hardware;Maintains building lockers and restroom partitions;Hold and maintain a valid driver's license - - may also include snow plowing of district facilities;Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance and repairs related to simple machinery and cleaning equipment;Ability to remain focused and possess good problem solving skills;Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;Examines district-owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventative maintenance relative to position;Strong ability to multi-task and detailed oriented;Good attendance and punctuality;Must be able to work in all environments; hot, cold, rain, snow;Ability to work as a team member with a high level of communication skills;Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others;Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District;Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage;Compensation/Working Conditions:Per KESSA Master AgreementApplication Process:https://kvilleps.schoolspring.comPlease send email to Mr. Eric Alcorn, Assistant Superintendent of HR; ealcorn@kvilleps.org We are committed to hiring talented employees to enhance the district's stance and focus on equity and inclusion for all students, employees, parents, and community members of Kelloggsville.
