Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe storage and handling of products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating the shipping and receiving processes. The manager will also be responsible for compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, as well as leading and supervising a team of warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution of chemical products.
Develop and implement warehouse procedures to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
Monitor and optimize the use of warehouse space and equipment.
2. Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate the shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Work closely with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with business needs.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
3. Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant local, state, and federal guidelines.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
Implement and enforce proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
4. Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of products while minimizing excess stock.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Use inventory management software to track and report on inventory levels and movement.
5. Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Schedule and coordinate work assignments for warehouse personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
6. Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in warehouse management and chemical handling.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Degree or higher preferably Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Experience with chemical handling and knowledge of chemical safety regulations.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Certifications:
OSHA certification or equivalent in chemical safety is preferred.
Forklift certification and other relevant warehouse equipment certifications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to chemicals and varying temperatures.
Work Environment:
Primarily based in a warehouse setting with potential exposure to hazardous materials.
May require occasional travel to other company locations or supplier facilities.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
