Job Title: Production Supervisor Department: Production Report Line: Director of Operations Location: Conroe, Texas Overview: National Wire, a family-owned welded wire manufacturing business since 1995, proudly stands as one of the largest in the southern United States. The Production Supervisor position is responsible for supporting the maintenance teams in the completion of all troubleshooting, repairs, and retrofitting processes in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. The Supervisor's responsibilities range from daily production activities, employee scheduling, overall sanitation and quality, maintaining performance standards, to working with the Human Resource Dept. to procure temporary labor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees throughout the organization. Create and utilize the Daily Production Schedule to plan and lead daily activities of the manufacturing team; organize and request additional temporary employees with human resources. Schedule employees appropriately to complete all manufacturing operations daily. Ensure all production sanitation tasks are complete and all safety guidelines are followed. Demonstrate clear verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ensure employees adhere to all OSHA guidelines and regulations. Oversee daily operations to ensure employees perform all duties efficiently, safely, and within company standards. Responsible for employee training, evaluations, hiring recommendations, promotions, raises, and disciplinary actions and/or terminations. Work closely with all production employees and assist in relieving employees for breaks if necessary. Ensure all employees adhere to company policies. Provide continuous improvement feedback and perform annual reviews. Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; identify issues in efficiency and provide suggestions for improvement. Ensure safe operation of equipment by requesting repairs as needed. Other duties as assigned by management. Comply with state and federal law, the Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations. May perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Requirements and Skills: 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Leadership training skills. Experience with Global Shop or similar ERP system. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with OEE Reports. Knowledge of the 5'S. Lean Manufacturing Principles. Adaptable to a changing work environment, able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Basic math skills, including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for material fabrication calculations. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience with continuous improvement initiatives. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures. Required Work Hours and Schedules: Monday through Friday 6 AM – 6 PM Occasional overtime and weekends, beyond scheduled hours Salary: Based on experience.
