Role: Applications Engineer (Fluid Handling Equipment Solutions)Location: Spartanburg SCAssignment: Direct HireSchedule: M-F, 8-5, in-officeOverviewOur client in the fluid handling equipment industry is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their growing engineering team in the Spartanburg, SC area. This is an in-house role supporting industrial customers and an outside sales team through technical expertise, application support, and engineered solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining engineering fundamentals with customer interaction—without outside sales or travel responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical resource for customers and internal sales teamsApply, select, and specify fluid handling equipment based on customer applicationsAnalyze application data such as flow rates, pressures, and equipment curvesProvide technical solutions, troubleshooting, and product recommendationsPrepare technical proposals, quotations, and supporting documentationCommunicate with customers and vendors via phone and emailManage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentQualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical sales support or applications engineeringAbility to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and data sheetsComfortable communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiencesStrong organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsTeam-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approachEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferredExperience with fluid handling equipment, industrial mechanical systems, or technical sales support is a plusOpen to early-career engineers or new graduates with strong fundamentals and communication skillsCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $70,000–$90,000Comprehensive benefits package including PTO and 401(k) with company matchLong-term growth and advancement opportunities within the organization
