You'll play a key role in prepping and handling samples, keeping records accurate, and maintaining a clean laboratory to support on-time results everyday. You’ll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.The compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $20.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.Department: Semi-Volatiles (SVOA)Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 2nd Shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm)To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:Perform dishwashing and cleaning, change gas cylinders and perform housekeeping tasks that can include routine repetitive motions such as scrubbing, rinsing, drying, and stacking glasswareSample retrieval, storage and archiving, and responsible for proper sample disposal. Prepare samples and/or reagents according to SOPs and perform support tasks as needed Conduct lab analyses as required and adhere to accurate data/record keeping practices; stay current with all SOP readings and any training as assigned Perform calibration verification of small laboratory equipment such as thermometers and balances Maintain a safe, organized work area and ensure accurate logbook records and accurate data entry into LIMS Conduct inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals and restock laboratory cabinets and storage areas with as needed Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policiesComply with company's Health and Safety PlanOther duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab DirectorYour Expertise And SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.High School DiplomaBasic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)Basic Excel skills requiredMust be comfortable working with strong acids and solventsExcellent communication skills requiredDetail orientedPreferred SkillsPrior Laboratory experience preferred bot not requiredKnowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safetyAbility to work independently and in a teamGood organizational skills and strong communication skillsWork Environment And Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
