From preparing samples to operating advanced instrumentation, your work helps ensure high-quality, reliable results that meet rigorous standards. You'll collaborate with a strong team of committed professionals, contribute to meaningful scientific work, and grow your expertise in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.The compensation range for this role is $22 to $30, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.Department: Semi-Volatiles (SVOA)Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pmTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:Operate analytical instrumentation and execute assigned SVOA batches according to SOPsPrepare samples, standards, reagents, and calibration solutions for analysisPerform first-level data review to ensure accuracy, completeness, and complianceExecute analytical methods accurately while meeting turnaround time expectationsMaintain instrument readiness through routine checks, verifications, and documentationDocument deviations, observations, and nonconformances in accordance with QA requirementsMaintain accurate logbooks and data entry within LIMSCommunicate analytical issues or atypical results to senior analysts or group leadershipComply with Quality Assurance Program and Health & Safety PlanPerform all other duties as assignedYour Expertise And SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific disciplineExperience with analytical instrumentation and data generation preferredStrong attention to detail and data integrity practicesWorking knowledge of SOP-driven laboratory environments Proficiency with LIMS and basic data systemsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working with solvents, acids, and laboratory instrumentationPreferred SkillsPrior experience in an environmental or regulated analytical laboratoryFamiliarity with SVOA analytical methods (e.g., 8015, 8081,8082, 608, 8270,625)Experience operating GC or GC/MS instrumentationUnderstanding of QA/QC concepts and first-level data review practicesExperience working within SOP-driven and compliance-focused environmentsAbility to identify atypical results and escalate appropriatelyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple batches while meeting turnaround time expectationsComfortable working independently with minimal supervision once trainedWork Environment And Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
