Join our Laboratory Services team as a Pathology & Cytology Clinical Laboratory Assistant, where you'll play an important role supporting pathology and cytology workflows that contribute to accurate patient diagnosis and care. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You'll assist with laboratory support functions, specimen transportation, administrative tasks, and technical preparation duties within the Cytology department. What You'll Do Provide administrative and office support for the Pathology and Cytology departments Answer department phones and assist with communication and coordination File pathology and cytology slides accurately and efficiently Scan and organize reference laboratory reports into department systems Transport pathology specimens from surgical areas including the OR, Endoscopy, and Urology departments to the laboratory Perform technical preparation functions to support Cytology department operations Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of laboratory materials Support departmental workflow while maintaining compliance with confidentiality and safety standards Preferred Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a healthcare, laboratory, administrative, or clinical setting is helpful, but not required Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service abilities Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to adjust priorities based on departmental needs Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information Comfortable working collaboratively within a healthcare team environment Why Join Us?
