Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Spravato & IV Ketamine

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and highly emotionally intelligent psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP)to join our team in providing IV Ketamine and Esketamine (Spravato) treatments for patients with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The position is available at our Corte Madera and Windsor locations so ideally you live in Marin or Sonoma county. You are passionate about the intersection of psychedelic medicine and comprehensive mental health care, with experience in administering IV Ketamine and Esketamine treatments. You possess strong skills in patient assessment, monitoring, and care, and are able to collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary care team. Additionally, you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Specific Responsibilities Administer IV Ketamine infusions and Spravato (esketamine) intranasal treatments Open to performing H&P and intake assessments for new patients to determine appropriateness of Ketamine and Spravato treatments in the future Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs during treatment sessions Adjust treatment protocols based on patient response and needs Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including MDs, CRNAs, RNs, MFTs, Psychedelic Guides, and Integration Coaches Provide patient education on ketamine therapy and potential side effects Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Participate in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives Guide and hold space for patients undergoing treatment when needed. Training will be provided. Act as an adaptable, collaborative team player; while your focus is advanced clinical care, you are willing to support overall clinic flow by assisting with tasks such as placing vital signs monitors, setting up/resetting rooms, or printing forms when needed. Willing to proctor future staff during trainingLocation This position is open for all of our clinic locations but with a 80% focus on Corte Madera and Windsor. This position requires a willingness to travel and provide coverage across all of our clinic locations: Corte Madera (primary), Windsor, and Vacaville. At minimum, must be willing to support non-home clinic at least once per month The ideal candidate lives in Marin or Sonoma county (within a less than 30 minute drive to either Windsor or Corte Madera clinics). Must be willing to travel to Vacaville clinic for Spravato training.Qualifications Current California state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP). DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances. Nationally Board certification as PMHNP Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies. Skilled at placing IVs and managing infusion therapies.Preferred Skills Experience with psychedelic-assisted therapies and integration practices. Trainings and/or certifications in psychedelic medicine (examples: CIIS, Polaris) Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) with the ability to serve as a psychedelic guide/facilitator in the patient’s native language and interpret for English-speaking staff. Demonstrated clinical comfort and skillset in working with patients presenting with complex trauma, addiction, or substance use disorders.Schedule Part-time position in an outpatient clinic setting - initially 2 to 4, 4-hour shifts per week. Must be willing to work most Saturday clinic days to accommodate patient schedules.  Compensation Per diem. Our protocols are based on the most current peer-reviewed literature as well as extensive first-hand experience providing thousands of treatments over the past 6 years.
