A. Harold and Associates, LLC, is seeking qualified candidates for a position as a Facility Specialist in the Pacific Northwest. The Facility Specialist should have electrical, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, backup power/generators, and general facility maintenance and repair expertise. The Facility Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing, operating, and maintaining all building equipment and operating systems. Other responsibilities may include construction improvement projects, grounds projects, and other special projects as assigned. Prior military experience is required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and general maintenance of building and mechanical operating systems
Perform tenant-requested tasks such as HVAC adjustments, minor electrical repairs, minor plumbing repairs, lock rekeying/maintenance, etc.
Oversee building services and construction projects
Maintain documentation of inspections, repairs, operating and maintenance costs, hazardous materials, permits, licenses, and all appropriate record logs
Report to management and submit written and verbal reports on all aspects of operations and maintenance
Required Skills:
Minimum 10 years experience as a Property Manager/Building Engineer/Facility Specialist
Skilled in troubleshooting and repairs of the following systems: life safety, HVAC, UPS, power generators, fire pumps, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic controls, and building management
Familiar with blueprints, architectural terminology, and building codes
Prior or current DoD clearance
Experience working under stressful conditions
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to stoop, stand, climb, and lift 50 lbs. of equipment
Desired Certifications:
CFC/EPA Certification
Licenses in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and/or Carpentry
Possess or are able to obtain current first aid, CPR, and defibrillator certifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic knowledge of computer/IT systems
