The Business Development Specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities, manage a pipeline of prospects, and support the full sales cycle from initial outreach through proposal and follow-up. Daily responsibilities include conducting market and competitor research, generating and nurturing leads through calls, emails, and virtual or in-person meetings, and preparing presentations, proposals, and supporting materials. The role will collaborate closely with operations, project management, and leadership to align opportunities with service capabilities and pricing. The specialist will also maintain accurate CRM records, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports and insights to inform strategy and decision-making.Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills to build rapport, manage client expectations, and maintain long-term relationships.Proficiency in analytical skills and market research to evaluate opportunities, understand trends, and support data-informed decisions.Experience with lead generation, including prospecting, qualification, and nurturing contacts through multiple channels.Familiarity with CRM tools and sales or business development processes in a B2B environment.Ability to work in a hybrid setting in San Jose, CA, managing time effectively across office, field, and remote work.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior experience in construction, contracting, or related industries is beneficial but not required.Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams toward shared revenue goals.
