Business Development Representative

Overview:As a direct report to the Area Sales Manager, the Business DevelopmentRepresentative will drive the acquisition of new customers and facilitate theexpansion of existing accounts within the local market. This role requires apassionate sales professional who excels in identifying and expandingopportunities proactively and cultivating strong, enduring relationships withcustomers. This role will develop a deep understanding of TrueBlue's offeringsand how we solve customer problems. Location: San Jose, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Actively prospect and acquire new customers within the designated territorythrough effective networking and lead development.Identify growth opportunities and prospects for new customer acquisition.Enhance customer loyalty and drive account growth by developing relationshipswith customers.Implement strategic sales initiatives to meet and surpass sales targets.Consult with customers to understand their business needs and offer creativesolutions to solve workforce needs Effectively sell the PeopleReady serviceofferings.Collaborate with PeopleReady contracts and legal teams to negotiate contractterms effectively.Ensure competitive bill rates and margins are applied to all customercontracts.Ensure the appropriate branch is aware of any unique, differentiatingcustomer details.Proactively solution cross sell opportunities across all TrueBlue brands andneighboring markets.Develop account management and sales strategies to increase share of walletand customer retention.Lead formal business reviews with key customers to assess performance andidentify growth opportunities.Utilize appropriate technology and tools to develop and maintaincomprehensive account management and growth strategies.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and marketdevelopments to effectively position TrueBlue products/services.Mentor other sales reps and client facing employees. Education and Experience * Three or more years related sales experience; Bachelors, associate degree; orequivalent combination of education and experience.Managed a portfolio of at least $2.5M per annum.Sales experience in one or more blue-collar market verticals.Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.Experience in understanding, adapting, and applying new technologies.Valid driver license, registered vehicle, and vehicle insurance.Core Knowledge and Skills * Communicates clearly, concisely, and professionally in both written andverbal formsAdept at persuading diverse customer stakeholdersStrong organizational skills with attention to detailCapable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively underpressureAnalytical abilities: skilled in analyzing order, associate, and customerdata to drive informed decisions and achieve outcomesCompetitive driveCapable of establishing rapport with a wide range of individualsUnderstand multiple, diverse perspectives from clientsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.com, leveragingtechnology for efficient sales management and reporting Work Environment and Physical Demands * This role operates with a remote work structure, but it is fundamentally afield-based sales position. The employee will be expected to dedicate over50% of their time to outside sales activities and client engagement.Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periodsof time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.Travel is required as part of the job. Visits to customer sites or localbranches required. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. Salary Range: $61,500 - $79,077 annually, depending on experience and geographiclocation plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms. Thisposition is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor forposition level and compensation. Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local payrequirements and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salarythresholds.
