Commercial Real Estate Accountant

OverviewOur client is a rapidly growing real estate investment firm (10 employees) that is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant in a newly-created role. This is the 2nd true accounting hire and will get involved with all aspects of the month-end close along with exposure to their portfolio of properties.What you'll doOwn the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, vendor management, approvals, and timely payment runsSupport month-end close activities including AP accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisOperate Yardi for AP, GL, and reporting workflows across a portfolio of commercial and industrial propertiesAssist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness across pay cyclesCollaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure clean and accurate financialsIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline AP workflows and increase efficiencyWhat we're looking for2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate or property managementHands-on Yardi experience is a MUSTSelf-starter who thrives in a fast-scaling, lean startup environmentStrong attention to detail and comfortable owning a function independentlyBachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred
